PDF & EPUB Reader (com.nakou.pdfreader)
Last updated: 10 September 2026

This policy explains what PDF & EPUB Reader ("the app") does with your information. The short version: the app does not have accounts, does not upload your documents, and the only data leaving your device is what Google's advertising service collects to show ads.

Your documents stay on your device

The app opens PDF and EPUB files you choose. Those files are read directly from the location you picked, on your device. The app never uploads, transmits, copies to a server, or shares the contents of any document you open. Document contents are not readable by the developer.

What the app stores on your device

To make the app usable, the following is saved in the app's own private storage:

All of this stays on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes it. Clearing the app's storage from Android Settings also deletes it. The app has Android backup disabled, so this information is not copied to your cloud backups.

Advertising

The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To provide and measure those ads, Google collects information such as:

This collection is performed by Google, not by the developer, and is governed by Google's own policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

What the app does not do

Your choices

Children

The app is a general-purpose document reader. It is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data security

Information stored by the app is held in private app storage that other apps cannot read. Advertising requests made by the Google Mobile Ads SDK are sent over encrypted connections.
